Job summary

Impact Recruitment Ltd's client seeks a Junior Test Engineer to focus on product testing and development testing. You will work with production and engineering managers to build test setups, qualifications, and automation for tests.

Responsibilities include maintaining test equipment, developing test jigs, testing PCBs, and supporting production runs. A BSEE is required along with power electronics background; some C# and embedded coding exposure is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have BSEE, electrical engineering degree or relevant military training and experience.
• Power electronics background is required.
• Understanding of analog/digital circuit design and signal conditioning.
• Some exposure to C#, embedded code development and debugging is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work with Design Engineers on test equipment hardware, software, reliability and qualification across shifts and facilities.
• Support maintenance and repair of test stations, hardware, software and interface adapters.
• Collaborate with factory production personnel to resolve test-related issues.
• Test PCB layouts and PCB assembly/testing traveler documents.
• Develop test boxes and provide initial production run support.
• ATE test integration and development.
• Assist Design Engineers in troubleshooting and repairing returned products when required.

Job description

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Jr. Test Engineer to work in product testing and product development testing. The candidate will work with and report to production and engineering managers. He/she will be responsible for building part test setups, qualification testing, making production test jigs, and developing test routines, test software, and test automation.

Job Function

• Work with Design Engineers on issues with test equipment hardware, software, reliability, and qualification across multiple shifts and facilities.
• Support maintenance and repair of test station hardware, software and interface test adaptors - both custom designed systems and COTS.
• Work with factory production personnel to resolve test related issues.
• Test PCB layouts.
• PCB assembly & test traveler document preparation.
• Test box development and initial production run support.
• C# code experience for test development.
• ATE test integration and development.
• When required, support the Design Engineers in troubleshooting and repairing returned products from the customers.

Job Requirement

• Must have BSEE, electrical engineering degree or relevant military training and experience.
• Candidates should have power electronics background.
• Basic understanding of analog circuit design, circuit analysis, digital circuit design and analog signal conditioning.
• Some exposure to software such as C#, embedded code development, use of de-bugger etc., is desirable.

The starting salary is $62,400 - $72,800.00.
