Job summary

Analogic Jobs US is seeking an Electronics Test Engineer to design and implement test strategies for automated test equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will develop scripts, fixtures, and hardware for PCB testing, and support production to diagnose failures.

You will analyze test data to improve yield, collaborate with R&D on NPI for testability, and document procedures to maintain quality standards in a fast-paced environment in Vista, CA.

Qualifications

• Design, develop, and implement test strategies for ATE.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field; 4+ years preferred.
• Experience with testing & integration in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement test strategies, programs, and scripts for Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Design, build, and maintain test fixtures and hardware for PCB testing; debug to component level.
• Provide daily production support; troubleshoot failures; differentiate product vs test issues; create guides for production.
• Analyze data from automated tests to identify trends and improve yield.
• Collaborate with R&D on New Product Introductions to ensure testability; document procedures and changes.

Job description

Primary Responsibilities (not a complete list):

• Test Strategy & Program Development:Design, develop, and implement test strategies, test programs, and scripts for Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Hardware Design & Maintenance:Design, build, andmaintaintest fixtures, test hardware, and debugPrinted Circuit Assemblies (PCAs)tocomponentlevels.
• Production Support & Troubleshooting:Provide daily support to manufacturing, troubleshoot assembly/component failures, anddetermineif issues are product-related or test-relatedand create troubleshooting guides for production.
• Yield Improvement & Data Analysis:Analyze data from automated testing toidentifytrends, enhance productivity, and improve manufacturing yield.
• New Product Introduction (NPI):Work with R&D engineering teams to introduce new products into manufacturing, ensuring testability (Design for Test).
• Documentation & Standardization:Document test procedures, specifications, and process changes tomaintainquality standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:Proficient with electronic test instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters), test programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, LabVIEW), and ATE systems.
• Background:Typically requires aBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.May consideradditionalexperience in lieu of a degree.
• Work Environment:work directlyin manufacturing environment, often spending time in labs for debugging.
• Minimum of4years of experience, with at least 1 year of experience in testing & integration
• Experience with test plan development and technical writing
• Working knowledge of embedded systems
• Strong communicationskills to engage with multidiscipline teams
