Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1 year of customer-facing experience in retail, tech support, hospitality, or service environment.
• Basic familiarity with computers and common operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, kneeling).

Responsibilities

• Assist customers via walk-in service, phone support, and scheduled in-home visits.
• Provide a positive customer experience through active listening and clear communication.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot first-level hardware, software, device, and network issues.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technicians when needed.
• Explain technology and recommend practical solutions to improve user experience.

Schrock Innovations is looking for a friendly, motivated Junior Technician to join our Des Moines Service Center team full-time.

You’ll work alongside experienced technicians, solve a wide variety of technology challenges, and help customers feel more confident using their devices.

What You’ll Do:

What We’re Looking For:

• Availability to work a full-time schedule:Monday 12p-8p, Tuesday 10a-6p, Friday 12p-8p, Saturday 10a-8p, and Sunday 12p-5p

• High school diploma

• 1 year of customer-facing experience in retail, technical support, hospitality, or another service-based environment

• A strong desire to solve problems and help others

• Basic familiarity with computers, smartphones, and common operating systems, including Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• A valid driver’s license in good standing

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks that may include standing, bending, and kneeling
