Total Solutions IT Inc. is seeking a Systems/Network Administrator to join our Professional Services team.

This hands-on role focuses on implementing and supporting complex IT environments for local clients, with opportunities for remote work and up to 50% travel. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of IT experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience (relevant coursework may count).
• Strong troubleshooting and research skills to resolve complex issues.
• Ability to communicate technical information to a wide range of end-users.
• Ability to relate to non-technical users and meet business needs using various technologies.
• Ability to prioritize, plan, and meet multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and related troubleshooting.
• Configure TCP/IP and DNS in AD domains and public DNS records.
• Assist with deployment of physical servers and Hyper-V virtualized servers.
• Assist with migration of software, services, and data to new servers with Windows Server OS.
• Migrate software and data to new workstations with Windows and macOS.
• Manage Microsoft 365 services including Entra, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Assist with migration of email and data from various platforms.
• Configure and implement firewalls, switches, and wireless, including VLANs.
• Collaborate with team to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• Use documentation program to maintain up-to-date procedures.

Total Solutions is looking for a Systems/Network Administrator to join our Professional Services department! We’re searching for an experienced I.T. Administrator to handle our most advanced work in a fast-paced work environment. The candidate will need to be able to assist in managing implementation and integration projects. This is a hands-on position, so candidates should be interested in working outside of the typical office structure, with up to 50% travel to local clients and remote work opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Microsoft Active Directory general management, administration, and troubleshooting
• Group Policy creation, application, and troubleshooting; including folder redirection and file & print shares
• Configuration of TCP/IP and DNS in Active Directory domains, and public DNS records
• Assist with configuration and deployment of new physical servers and Hyper-V virtualized servers
• Assist with the migration of software, services, and data to new servers with Windows Server operating systems
• Migration of software and data to new workstations with Windows and macOS operating systems
• Management of Microsoft 365 services including Entra, Intune, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
• Assist with the migration of email and data from various platforms
• Assist with configuration and implementation of firewalls, switches, and wireless, including VLANs
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a swift and seamless resolution
• Use our documentation program to search for procedures and meet company standards; note documentation that is out of date or incorrect as our solutions evolve

Requirements

• Must have driver’s license and reliable transportation
• 5+ years’ experience (relevant coursework may be considered towards experience)
• Strong troubleshooting and research skills to efficiently identify and resolve complex technical issues
• Ability to communicate technical information, verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users
• Ability to relate to non-technical users and assist them in accomplishing their business needs and objectives using various technologies
• Ability to prioritize, plan, and meet multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment
