Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Systems Engineer Junior to support the Space Force Range Contract. You will assist the Systems Engineering team in managing processes, requirements, and architectures for LTRS baselines, and participate in T&E planning and reporting.

The role involves requirements analysis, decomposition, and assisting in acquisition documents. This entry-level position requires a STEM degree, 0–2 years of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field.
• 0–2 years of systems engineering or related technical experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Support systems engineering processes to ensure continuity across the SFRC.
• Assist requirements management and use of related tools.
• Help develop and manage architectural documents for LTRS baselines.
• Assist architectural analysis at system and subsystem levels.
• Support Test & Evaluation planning, execution, and reporting for LTRS modifications and new systems.
• Assist requirements analysis, decomposition, and allocation from system to components.
• Support acquisition documentation (SOO, SOW, PWS) and RFP development.
• Provide support for launch operations as required.
