Job summary

Watermark is seeking a Junior Systems Engineer to support DHS S&T in counter-WMD capabilities. The role involves assisting in systems engineering processes, performing research and analysis, and contributing to program management for federal security initiatives.

Responsibilities include developing documentation, adhering to acquisition frameworks, and supporting end-to-end lifecycle activities for DoD and DHS projects.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent in chemical, biological or systems engineering or related discipline.
• MA/MS degree or equivalent in chemical, biological or systems engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, programmatic, systems engineering, research analysis, test management and scientific support services to assist federal staff in administering and managing programs.
• Follow DHS Acquisition and SELC policies to develop, acquire and deploy counter-WMD detection systems for federal, state, local and tribal partners.
• Work with Project Manager to develop project documentation requirements and schedules.
• Conduct systems engineering tasks in support of CBRN systems.
• Provide R&D, T&E, Acquisition, Program Integration & Mission support as needed.
• Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), IMS and resource-loaded master schedules for acquisition programs and TEMPs.

Education

BS degree in chemical/biological or systems engineering

MA/MS degree in related discipline
