Job summary

RTX is seeking a Systems Engineer on-site in Tucson, AZ to immerse in the Systems Engineering Lifecyle and bring cutting-edge capabilities to life. You will collaborate across disciplines, update requirements and interfaces, and ensure robust testing and integration for warfighter needs.

The role emphasizes hands-on integration of hardware and software, documentation for reviews, and detailed data analysis. Travel up to 25% may be required to support missions at RTX facilities and customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM earned by start date.
• Experience with requirements, integration, testing, software, or hardware.
• Majors: Electrical, Systems, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Defense industry experience with military systems is a plus.
• Understanding of the Systems Engineering Product Cycle and lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Update, develop, maintain, and improve requirements, CONOPS, and system interfaces.
• Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in simulated and real-world environments and perform/execute the testing.
• Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating functionality and impact.
• Create/modify documentation for reviews such as Test Readiness Review (TRR), Consent to Ship (CTS), and Test Data Review (TDR).
• Perform Platform Integration, Flight Test, Qualification, Design Verification execution.
• Troubleshoot and Analyze: identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through data analysis and debugging.
• Document and Communicate: develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements and communicate results to leadership.
• Perform Data Analysis: conduct statistical and numerical analysis to ensure optimal system performance.
• Present Findings: present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers.
• Drive Performance: collaborate across functions to improve performance and resolve issues.
• Decision analysis & Resolution: conduct trade studies and present results to stakeholders.
• Support Missions: travel up to 25% to support mission execution at RTX facilities and locations.
