Job summary

Lake Superior State University is seeking a motivated Jr. Systems Administrator to join our Information Technology team in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. You will enhance and maintain LSSU's administrative systems like Ellucian Banner, collaborating with a skilled team to deliver secure technical solutions. Strong communication skills and a degree in technology are essential, with preferred knowledge in Oracle databases and programming languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in application development.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop scripts, reports, and applications using Oracle PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, and Java.
• Assist in system analysis and development of programming specifications.
• Support and improve functionality of Ellucian Banner and other enterprise systems.
• Configure and support Single Sign-On (SSO) and cloud-based applications.
• Provide data extraction and reporting services.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow IT best practices.
• Collaborate with users and team members to troubleshoot issues.
