Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to support Windows Server operations, SCCM deployments, patching, and infrastructure maintenance from Columbus with remote options. You will own routine tasks, investigate issues, and receive mentoring to grow skills.

Qualifications

• Foundational Windows administration experience from work, training, or labs.
• Basic knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and networking.
• Familiarity with SCCM or similar deployment and patching tools.
• Ability to follow technical procedures, investigate problems methodically, and document results.
• Strong organization to track multiple assignments through completion.
• Clear communication and sound judgment about escalation.
• Willingness to learn PowerShell and expand technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Support routine Windows Server administration, including services, logs, and connectivity.
• Assist SCCM software deployments, device collections, client health, reporting.
• Monitor server patching, investigate failed updates, remediate and verify installations.
• Review maintenance window and patching group assignments for accuracy.
• Deploy and troubleshoot approved software and management agents.
• Perform Active Directory tasks and assist with Group Policy troubleshooting.
• Run PowerShell scripts, interpret results, and make basic changes under guidance.
• Assist with VM provisioning, resource changes, and inventory per procedures.
• Manage incidents and service requests, coordinate with IT teams.
• Maintain operational reports, document procedures, and track exceptions.
• Follow change management and elevate complex issues with summaries.
