Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Junior System Administrator to support DISA—its GSM-O contract at Scott AFB, IL. The role includes protecting DISA information and operating multi-user computer systems to ensure mission readiness.

The position requires a BA degree or equivalent experience, 1 year in a customer service environment, and the ability to obtain an Interim SECRET clearance; DoD 8750 certification (Security+) within 6 months of start; and readiness for on-call/weekend support when needed.

Qualifications

• BA Degree or experience in lieu accepted.
• 1 year of experience in customer service environment.
• Must be able to gain an Interim SECRET security clearance prior to start.
• Complete DoD 8750 certification (e.g., Security+) within 6 months of start.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and coordinate with customers.
• Communicate policies and procedures to customers.
• Update digital systems to provide insight to ongoing efforts and tickets.
• Monitor alarm systems.
• Perform basic level system administrator duties.
• Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
• Create, maintain, and implement detailed documentation and SOPs.
• Provide support on a Mon-Fri business hours schedule and be on-call/weekend as required by mission or emergencies.
• System monitoring using installed tools as well as external tools.
