Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Junior System Administrator to support the DISA GSM-O contract at Scott AFB, IL. The role focuses on protecting information systems and maintaining secure, reliable multi-user computer environments.

The candidate will work with customers, document procedures, monitor systems, and provide on-site and on-call support as required by mission needs. A background in customer service and basic scripting is valued, with security clearance eligibility required.

Qualifications

• BA degree or 2 years of experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
• 1 year of experience in customer service environment.
• Must be able to gain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to start.
• Complete DoD 8750 certification e.g. Security+ within 6 months of start date.
• Basic understanding of scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and coordinate with customer and other admins.
• Communicate policies and procedures to customers.
• Update digital systems to provide insight into ongoing efforts and tickets.
• Monitor alarm systems.
• Perform basic level system administrator duties.
• Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
• Create, maintain, and implement detailed documentation and SOPs.
• Provide support on a Monday-Friday schedule, on-call, extended hours and weekends as required by mission.
• System monitoring using installed tools and external tools.
