Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an Entry Level Substation Electrical Engineer for our Freeport, Maine office. You will join the Power Delivery Substation Team to contribute to detailed substation designs and project deliverables that align with client goals and WSP standards.

You will learn to work across disciplines, perform site visits, and support QA/QC while growing in a collaborative and safety‑conscious environment at a global firm.

Qualifications

• BSEE or BSEET degree, preferably with a power option from an accredited university.
• 0-1 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering to build on.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of low to extra high voltage substations: one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA.
• Include ground grid design, foundation plans, and layout details.
• Support QA/QC and interact with clients to meet project objectives.
• Occasional travel to project sites.
