Job summary

Consor is seeking a Team Leader for Structural Assessment to oversee field inspections of bridges and related structures, updating reports for clients to keep structures in service. You will balance field and office work, including preparing and reviewing reports and coordinating with owners and agencies.

The role requires NBIS/NHI Team Leader qualifications, field access capability, and potential involvement in scheduling, load ratings, and rehabilitation design based on skills and contracts.

Qualifications

• Ability and experience to lead the work of others and maintain relationships.
• Knowledge of bridge inspection methods and procedures.
• Experience with written report procedures.
• NBIS as bridge inspector assistant and Team Leader qualified with NHI.
• Ability to perform field inspections with various access methods.

Responsibilities

• Inspections of assigned bridges and preparation of written reports.
• Lead in-depth inspections using non-destructive testing, access equipment, or climbing gear.
• Post-incident bridge inspections to assess damage and recommend actions.
• Coordinate inspection schedules with owners and agencies regarding traffic and access.
• Lead teams in Structural Assessment, mentoring staff and contributing to staffing decisions.
