Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. seeks an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join its Federal Buildings team in Arlington, VA. The role focuses on design of new multi-building complexes and renovations of historic structures, with mentorship from senior engineers.

You will develop core structural engineering foundations, perform calculations, and learn how discipline interfaces influence project outcomes. Hybrid work enables in-office collaboration two days per week.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship required; OPT or visa not eligible.
• Master's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with ABET accreditation.
• Previous internship experience in Structural Engineering.
• Live within commuting distance to Jacobs office; hybrid work requiring in-office days.
• Minimum internet speed 25 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up.

Responsibilities

• Perform increasingly complex structural calculations and analysis as designs develop.
• Collaborate with Designers to communicate structural requirements on paper and in the model.
• Develop understanding of structural analysis within codes and interfaces with other disciplines.
• Engage with Structural Lead, Project Managers and Designers across teams to ensure quality and timelines.
• Manage own workload and strive to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
