Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join the Federal Buildings team in Knoxville, TN, with hybrid office/site work two days per week. You’ll learn to perform structural analysis, coordinate with designers, and grow under professional engineers while contributing to projects ranging from new multi-building designs to renovations of historic structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with ABET accreditation.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
• 0-2 years relevant work experience.
• Hybrid work arrangement requiring 2 days per week in local office or project site.
• Minimum internet speed 25 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
• Coordinate with Designers to document structural requirements in papers and models.
• Develop foundation in structural engineering fundamentals across multiple subject areas.
• Learn principles of analysis and design of vertical and lateral structural systems per codes and standards.
• Grow under mentorship from Professional Engineers and technical experts.
