WSP USA is seeking an entry-level Structural/Civil Engineering assistant in Tempe, AZ to support design, development and construction of buildings and infrastructure. You will collect data from sites, surveys and GIS, perform basic analysis and assist with documentation and compliance.

You’ll contribute to ensuring safety and functionality while learning design software and project workflows. A bachelor’s in structural or civil engineering is required, with up to 1 year of related experience.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering or closely related field.
• 0 to 1 year of post-education experience.
• Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
• Familiarity with design/build concepts and relevant codes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for engineering audiences.
• Proficient self-leadership, attention to detail, and multitasking in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and meet project objectives.
• Basic technical writing and office software proficiency.
• Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, InRoads, Geopak, GeoSlope, ANSYS, STADD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with collecting, compiling and analyzing data from site, surveys, GIS, maps and other matrices.
• Help with basic professional structural engineering work and site condition inspections.
• Provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements and operating strategies.
• Verify site characteristics and support ensuring structural soundness from loads and environmental factors.
• Generate documentation using electronic systems, drawings, and 2D/3D illustrations.
• Follow safety guidelines, procedures, and project-based requirements.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct and company policies.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
