Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Structural Engineer to join our Valhalla, NY office. You will assist with the design, development and construction of building and infrastructure projects in public and private sectors, with focus on structural elements and safety standards.

Under supervision, contribute to data collection, research and documentation. This role provides training and growth in professional engineering practices, with travel possible based on project needs.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection from site surveys, blueprints and GIS data for project development.
• Support analysis of site conditions to determine conformance with rules and permits.
• Provide entry-level technical assistance on design requirements and operating strategies for safety and functionality of systems.
• Verify site characteristics and structural soundness from loads and environmental factors.
• Generate documentation using drawings, 2D/3D illustrations and site logs.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and site procedures throughout projects.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Support ethical use of company resources and procedures.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed by the project.
