A. Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking an Entry Level Structural / Bridge Engineer to join the Structural Engineering team in our Columbus, OH office. Position will start in May 2027 after graduation.

The role involves supporting projects across our footprint, including structural and bridge design, condition state inspection, plan development, CAD support, and cross-disciplinary coordination. Candidates should have strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• EIT preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn and work in a collaborative environment

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of structural and bridge design and analysis projects
• Assist with hands-on bridge condition inspection and CAD support
• Generate design reports and studies, coordinate with other disciplines
• Attend project meetings with staff and clients
