Morton Thomas and Associates, Inc. (AMT) is seeking an Entry Level Structural / Bridge Engineer to join the Structural Engineering team in our Pittsburgh, PA office. Position will start in May 2027 after graduation.

The role supports a variety of projects across our footprint, including structural and bridge design/analysis, condition state bridge inspection, and plan development with CAD support. The ideal candidate communicates well, has a willingness to learn, and thrives in a collaborative

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited program.
• EIT preferred or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Prior internship is a plus.
• Willingness to perform hands‑on bridge condition inspection and be comfortable with heights.
• Ability to learn or proficiency with bridge analysis and design software.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of projects including structural and bridge design/analysis, bridge inspection, and plan development with traditional and alternative delivery methods.
• Perform hands-on inspection of structural elements and assist with design/analysis calculations and CAD support.
• Collaborate with other disciplines, generate design reports, and participate in project meetings with staff and clients.
