Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Staff Accountant in St. Louis to perform entry-level cash and basic accrual accounting, maintain the general ledger, and assist with financial reporting under guided supervision.

The role provides exposure to industrial, land, and office portfolios and a path toward a Client Accountant position. You will participate in month-end processes, bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and timely financial reporting in compliance with internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred; candidate currently enrolled may be considered.
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in Client Accounting.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Basic knowledge of department-specific accounting functions.
• Functional understanding of current accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Perform Full-Cycle Accounting.
• Execute cash basis and basic accrual accounting for assigned properties, including portfolios.
• Account analysis, transaction review, bank reconciliations, cash management, payables/receivables, accruals.
• Prepare Financial Reporting Packages and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Support month-end activities and client accounting practices.
