Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Staff Accountant in the United States to perform full-cycle cash and accrual accounting for assigned properties and support financial reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy, adherence to internal controls, and collaboration with clients and property teams as you gain exposure to broader property accounting practices.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting, are proficient in MS Office, and can manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred; candidates pursuing such degree may be considered.
• Strong interest in Client Accounting (not tax or audit).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Basic knowledge of department-specific accounting functions.
• Functional understanding of current accounting software.
• Collaborative team player with strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• High sense of urgency and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience in customer service, sales, or administrative roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform Full-Cycle Accounting, including cash basis and basic accrual accounting for properties.
• Prepare Financial Reporting Packages in line with internal controls and client needs.
• Provide Accounting Support, including reconciliation schedules and journal entries.
• Apply Policies and Procedures per Client Accounting guidelines.
• Research and Communicate Issues; escalate as needed with clients and teams.
• Participate in Month-End Review to build understanding of processes.
