Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an entry-level Staff Accountant to perform cash basis and basic accrual accounting for diverse property portfolios in the St. Louis area. You will work under guided supervision to learn general ledger activities, financial reporting, and client accounting practices.

The role emphasizes professional development toward a Client Accountant position with a focus on accuracy, adherence to controls, and timely deliverables within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred; otherwise candidate pursuing degree may be considered.
• Strong interest in Client Accounting (not tax or audit).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and basic accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Perform Full-Cycle Accounting for assigned properties, including cash and accrual accounting.
• Prepare basic financial reporting packages in line with internal controls and client requirements.
• Provide supporting accounting tasks: reconciliations, journal entries, data entry, and research as needed.
• Adhere to Client Accounting Policies & Procedures and maintain segregation of duties with Property Management.
• Collaborate with clients and property management teams; escalate issues when needed.
• Contribute to month-end close processes and related checklists.
