Job Description for Junior Staff Accountant at Zion Capital

Responsibilities include:

1. Processing and entering all A/P invoices and expense reports into QuickBooks, including ensuring correct GL account coding for multiple entities.
2. Reviewing accounts payable agings.
3. Making timely electronic or check payments to vendors, including payment advices.
4. Reconciling monthly vendor statements.
5. Filing, maintaining, and distributing accounting documents, records, and reports.
6. Managing payroll processing for multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely employee payments by calculating wages, deductions, and taxes, maintaining payroll records, and adhering to relevant tax and payroll regulations.
7. Maintaining vendor and employee files.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience.
• Retail industry experience is a plus.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Expertise in Excel and QuickBooks Desktop.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Experience in heavily regulated industries like cannabis is a plus.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Pay Rate: $30.00 per hour.
