Job summary

Flying Horse Resort & Club in Colorado Springs, CO seeks a Jr Sous Chef to support high-volume kitchen operations in a 5-star hotel/restaurant setting. You will assist the Sous Chef and Exec Chef, maintain safety standards, manage prep, and ensure top-quality dish execution while working under pressure and collaborating with a professional team.

Three years of commercial kitchen experience is preferred, with strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of commercial kitchen experience in high-volume, 5-star hotel/restaurant setting.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities and multitasking.
• Customer service skills and strong oral communication; tact and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

• Support Jr Sous Chef, Sous Chef and Executive Chef in a busy kitchen delivering high-quality food.
• Comply with Food Health and Safety regulations and sanitation policies.
• Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations.
• Must evaluate and select among courses of action quickly and accurately.
• Follow and maintain policies of cleanliness and sanitation practices in the kitchen.
• Handle proper food handling, holding, re-heating and cooling procedures.
