Job summary

KBR is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to develop, integrate, and test software for RF systems used in DoD programs. The role focuses on control, modeling, simulation, and testing across diverse environments, with mentorship from senior engineers.

Candidates should have a strong software foundation and be able to work across system, algorithm, and integration boundaries. Onsite work in Beavercreek, OH is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• 0–2 years of professional software development experience (internships, co-ops, or academic projects count).
• Proficiency in C#/C++ or Python.
• Experience on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Familiarity with PNT concepts (GNSS, inertial navigation, timing, sensor fusion).
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, test, and document software for systems, simulations, and performance analysis environments.
• Implement algorithms and models under guidance, including measurement modeling and estimator behavior.
• Integrate software with hardware- and software-in-the-loop environments and digital twins.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to align software with system requirements.
