Job summary

KBR in Beavercreek, OH is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead development, integration, and evaluation of software for PNT-related systems across DoD programs. You will work with systems engineers and hardware teams to design, analyze, and mature capabilities in lab and field environments.

Candidates should have a BS in a technical field, 8+ years' experience, strong C/C++ or Python, and the ability to obtain DoD clearance. The role is onsite with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, CS or related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience for technical systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Python with ownership of complex components or frameworks.
• Experience on Linux and Windows platforms.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for systems, simulations, and analysis.
• Lead implementation of physics-based algorithms, measurements, and estimators.
• Architect and integrate within software frameworks for simulation and test.
• Integrate software with HITL/SITL and digital twin environments.
• Define interfaces between software components and external systems.
• Lead test planning, execution, and analysis for PNT experiments.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to align requirements and hardware constraints.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
• Document designs, algorithms, and test results for reviews.
• Present progress and technical activities in team meetings.
