Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join the Chinook Program supporting an Intelligence Community customer. You’ll grow under guidance, work in an Agile team, and deliver software components for a national security mission.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across development, testing, and DevSecOps, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and mission users to refine requirements and improve user experience.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 2–4 years of experience or Master’s with less than 2 years of experience.
• Experience with web technologies, REST APIs, and modern frameworks; familiarity with CI/CD and agile tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, test, and deploy software solutions under guidance of senior engineers.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests.
• Support deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and documentation.
• Collaborate with mission users, product managers, and DevSecOps on agile teams.
