Job summary
KBR in Columbia, MD is seeking a Jr. Software Engineer to design, develop, implement and maintain software for scientific and engineering applications. You will work under experienced engineers to ensure software meets mission standards and quality controls.
The role requires a TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph eligibility, a BA/BS in CS or related field (or AA with 3 years of related experience), and a strong foundation in software development. U.S.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance and CI polygraph eligibility are required.
- Degree or equivalent experience as stated (CS/Software Eng or related).
Responsibilities
- Create prototypes and perform internal testing of software products
- Respond to software discrepancies against documented requirements and provide resolution
- Determine software maintainability and overall adherence to user requirements
- Encode, test, debug, and install operating programs and procedures
- Collaborate with engineers in the design, development, and utilization of software
