Job summary

KBR Mission Technology Solutions is seeking a JR System Engineer to collaborate with multiple stakeholders in designing, developing, and researching interfaces, ensuring subsystems are integrated into a viable system. You will provide ongoing validation and feedback to support mission-critical decisions.

You will advise customers and help ensure mission success by aligning requirements with constraints and monitoring performance across the system life cycle.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong written and oral communication; fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support end-user needs by identifying, investigating and resolving system issues related to space systems
• Collaborate with analysts, project leads, and customers to enhance operational efficiency and system reliability
• Assist in developing system requirements and specifications aligned with High-Level Mission objectives
• Participate in trade studies to identify improvements in system performance, architecture, and software/hardware solutions
• Contribute to engineering tradeoff analyses and assist in formulating Courses of Action (COAs) that consider operational constraints
• Gather information to create technical documents that support project deliverables
• Stay updated on agency, national, and international standards related to space systems development to ensure compliance and integration
• Provide support throughout the systems engineering life cycle, managing risks and developing mitigation plans to guarantee mission success
• Track project activities for systems engineering, software/hardware development, and deployment, ensuring effective command and control integration
• Engage in continuous improvement efforts to optimize ground processing and mission management practices
