KBR Careers is seeking a Jr. Software Engineer in Beavercreek, OH to design, develop, implement, maintain, and document software for scientific and engineering applications.

You will work with a team to ensure quality and meet mission requirements, including testing, debugging, and documentation. Qualifications include a BA/BS in CS or related field (or 10 years of experience in lieu of education) and 0–3 years of related experience, plus active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph eligibility.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain a CI Polygraph.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 0-3 years of related experience; or AA with 3 years experience; 10 years of related experience in lieu of formal education.

Responsibilities

• Create prototypes and perform internal testing of software products.
• Respond to software discrepancies against documented requirements and provide resolution.
• Determine software maintainability and adherence to user requirements.
• Generate program design language and code based on mission standards.
• Generate/update project documents.
• Analyze and evaluate systems for scientific/engineering applications.
• Encode, test, debug, and install operating programs and procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers in design, development, and utilization of software for data processing systems.
• Participate in development of engineering test strategies and devices.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
