Job summary

KBR's Mission Technology Solutions is seeking a Jr. Electrical & Computer Engineer to assist across the design, development, and research of interfaces, ensuring subsystems integrate into viable systems.

You will provide ongoing functional analysis to validate mission requirements and monitor performance, advising the customer on critical decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop documentation, and support system-level troubleshooting, driving continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain CI Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships/co-ops applicable).
• Familiarity with MATLAB and Python.
• Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering tools such as Cameo.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of electrical and computer engineering systems, including hardware, embedded systems, and networked solutions.
• Develop and review technical documentation, including schematics, interface control documents, and test procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems and software engineers.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of system-level issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across engineering processes and tools.
• Use standard engineering processes to carry out assignments related to research, design, development or analysis.
• Assist higher level engineers and translate technical guidance into usable information.
• Plan, direct and coordinate engineering functions involved in design, development, installation, testing and integration.
• Conduct research studies for improvement or reconfiguration of systems.
• Serve as customer interface and organizational consultant on significant issues needing technical guidance.
• Assist in compiling technical reports; may participate as a team member of multiple teams.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
