Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer I in the United States. You will work under mentorship in an agile environment, develop and test software for new cloud-based tools, and contribute to design reviews while adhering to the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities include coding, debugging, and delivering modular, testable code; collaborating with multiple teams; and applying OO design with SVN, Git, and JIRA. This entry-level role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of Windows or Linux application software development experience.
• Object Oriented Design experience required; Qt experience is a plus.
• Familiar with SVN and Git for source control and unit testing.
• Ability to write quality, modular, reusable code with debugging skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, develop and test software systems for new products and cloud tools.
• Support full software life cycle including design, coding, debugging, test, deployment and maintenance.
• Write unit tests and deliver on time within projects; participate in design reviews.
• Collaborate with multiple teams using Scrum and JIRA to track tasks.
