Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join the Chinook Program supporting an Intelligence Community customer. You will work in an Agile team, learn from senior engineers, and progressively take ownership of software components and features.

Responsibilities include developing, testing, and deploying software with REST APIs, containers, and cloud services while adhering to security and accreditation standards. Multiple location options are available, including St. Louis, MO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• US citizenship required per contract.
• Experience with REST APIs, web technologies, and modern frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, test, and deploy software solutions under guidance of senior engineers.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code and participate in reviews.
• Develop and run unit and integration tests; troubleshoot defects and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with mission users and product managers to refine requirements.
• Use Git and CI/CD processes to manage and deliver software; maintain documentation.
