Job summary

PowerSchool is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join our R&D team in the United States. You will design, build, and maintain customer-facing web applications using React and TypeScript, contribute to micro-frontend architectures, and collaborate with product and QA to deliver reliable software.

You will work with AI coding assistants, write automated tests, and help improve engineering velocity through AI-enabled workflows.

Qualifications

• BS or equivalent in CS or related field, or relevant work exp.
• Hands-on AI coding assistants in professional software workflows.
• Proficient in modern JS/TS frontend and backend basics.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain customer-facing web apps with React/TS.
• Contribute to micro-frontend architecture and tooling.
• Write automated tests and participate in code reviews.
• Develop backend APIs and service integrations powering core features.
• Collaborate with Product/QA/Eng to implement requirements.
• Debug production and non-production issues across stack.
• Support AI-assisted reviews and improve code quality tooling.
• Adopt AI-agentic workflows to boost engineering velocity.
