Job summary

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a Software Developer-Junior to contribute to safety-critical software for the Guardian and UAV Detect and Avoid systems. The role emphasizes design, development, and testing of software components, with DO-278 documentation, at on-site locations in MD.

Requires a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering, 1 year of experience, and DoD Secret clearance by onboarding. Remote work is not available; on-site support is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering from ABET accredited college.
• 1 year of experience working as a Software Developer.
• Experience with scripting and programming in C++ or other OO languages (Java and/or Python).
• Experience with Git or equivalent configuration management tools.
• Experience with QT.

Responsibilities

• Provides safety critical engineering services for Atlantic Test Range Guardian systems.
• Supports design, development, documentation, and testing of Guardian System software suite and UAV Detect and Avoid System.
• Develops software for a safety critical UAV Detect and Avoid system.
• Documents software to DO-278 standards.
• Supports software development, software integration, and customer training/demonstrations.
• Evaluates C++ language code and writings.
