Job summary
DCS Corporation seeks an Advanced Software Developer to support NAWCAD, Webster Outlying Field, Patuxent River, MD. This onsite, full-time role focuses on designing and building software for DoD systems, with emphasis on research, development, and integration across teams.
The ideal candidate has an MS degree in IT/CS or related field, at least 7 years of experience (5 in DoD contexts), and Top Secret clearance or eligibility. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
- MS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or Computer Science
- Minimum 7 years of required experience, at least 5 of those years must be specific to DoD systems
- U.S. citizenship required
- Top Secret Clearance or Top Secret Eligible
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
- May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and to develop specifications and performance requirements.
- May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
