Job summary

AEITS, Inc., a GTSC company, seeks a Software Engineer, Level 2, for an on-site role in Hanover, MD. An active Top Secret SCI with polygraph is required. You will analyze, debug, and integrate software into new or modified environments, lead teams when appropriate, and ensure system performance.

This senior SWE role requires 14 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with a degree substitute option available.

Qualifications

• 14 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required; if no degree, 4 additional years of SWE experience may substitute.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
• Debug existing software and correct defects.
• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features.
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
• Develop data queries for databases or data repositories.
• Write or review software and system documentation.
• Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process.
• Design or implement complex database interfaces/queries.
• Develop algorithms to meet performance and functional standards.
• Assist with test procedures for software components.
• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance, users, and workflows.
• Modify existing software to improve performance or adapt to new hardware.
• Design, develop and modify software systems using analytical methods.
