Job summary

Cadmus is seeking a Junior Security Analyst to support client systems with security, engineering, and operations responsibilities. You will analyze security controls, findings, and develop documentation while performing security testing and remediation tasks.

The role involves cloud security in AWS, SIEM monitoring, SAFe practices, and collaboration with clients to ensure FISMA and federal standards compliance. Strong technical writing and client-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 1–2 years of experience in Security Analysis work
• Excellent Technical Writing skills
• Experience working directly with clients
• Ability to work autonomously and consistently deliver within deadlines
• Experience with creating and maintaining detailed documentation
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent multitasking skills
• Security+, or equivalent security certification
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust is required

Responsibilities

• 1–2 years of IT security experience with security control implementation and assessment findings
• Provide client-facing security analysis, engineering, and operations support
• Develop and maintain security program documentation (policies, procedures, standards)
• Conduct security testing and vulnerability scanning
• Monitor security events using SIEM (e.g., Splunk)
• Support DevSecOps mindset and practices
• Work with AWS cloud security services
• Maintain compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
• Assist with risk management and control remediations
• Prepare Plan of Action and Milestones and System Security Plans
