Job summary

Jobtailor in Pompano Beach, FL, is seeking a Junior Scheduler/Project Controls assistant to support scheduling activities under senior staff. The role focuses on updating schedules, tracking progress, and producing basic schedule reports using Primavera P6 and MS Office tools.

You'll also help manage project documents, maintain filing systems, and coordinate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to keep information current and well-organized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Controls, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exposure to project scheduling concepts; Primavera P6 familiarity preferred but not required.
• Willingness to perform document control and administrative project support duties.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Basic understanding of CPM scheduling concepts.
• This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development, maintenance, and updates of project schedules under guidance.
• Support schedule updates, progress tracking, and basic schedule reporting.
• Assist with schedule deliverables using Primavera P6 or similar tools.
• Participate in meetings providing schedule-related support.
• Support day-to-day document control activities including logging, tracking, filing, and distribution of documents.
• Maintain organized electronic filing systems per project and company standards.
• Assist with tracking correspondence, submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, and schedules.
• Support project controls reporting and administrative tasks.
• Interface professionally with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare basic written communications, logs, and reports with clarity.
• Support coordination across disciplines to ensure complete and current project information.
