Job summary

Meelunie America, Inc. is seeking a Junior Sales Manager to help expand our plant-based ingredients portfolio and build long-term customer relationships in a global B2B setting.

You will learn the business from the ground up, work directly with customers, and gradually take ownership of accounts and product lines. You will identify prospects, perform outreach, coordinate samples and quotes, and collaborate across teams to ensure smooth orders and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or early-career professional with an interest in sales, business development, food ingredients, agriculture, or international trade.
• Bachelor's degree in business, food science, agriculture, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, curious, results-oriented, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Identify and connect with food manufacturers, co-packers, and ingredient customers to support new business development.
• Conduct daily outreach to prospective customers via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels to build sales skills.
• Move opportunities forward by following up on inquiries, sample requests, pricing, quotations, and active sales opportunities.
• Build and maintain customer relationships through regular communication and professional service.
• Keep customer and opportunity data up to date in the CRM and internal systems.
• Prepare quotes, coordinate samples, and assist with customer documentation and product information to support the sales process.
• Collaborate with suppliers, commercial colleagues, logistics, and supply-chain teams to ensure orders are executed smoothly.
• Develop expertise in Meelunie's food ingredient portfolio (starches, proteins, etc.).
• Monitor market trends, pricing, supply conditions, and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
• Assist with sales forecasts, account planning, sales reports, and internal meetings.
• Travel approximately 2-3 days per month for customer visits, trade shows, and events.
