Job summary

Leidos is hiring a Relay Settings Engineer to support protection and substation projects. Join a diverse, fast-paced team delivering engineering, planning, and commissioning services for electric power substations and renewables.

The role involves creating relay settings and logic diagrams, coordinating with protection engineers, and interfacing with clients across remote offices. The hybrid position can be based in Framingham, MA or Charlotte, NC, with opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSEE with internship experience.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and testing labs.
• Experience creating relay settings and logic diagrams.
• Knowledge of protection coordination studies and relay coordination.

Responsibilities

• Work with protection engineers and perform quality reviews on relay setting packages.
• Create logic diagrams for IEC61850 substations.
• Work directly with clients as well as other staff in remote office locations.
• Support project planning activities through design and construction support.
• Prepare relay settings from 4.16kV through 500kV including relay set points, logic diagrams, configuration files and documentation.
• Solve challenging substation engineering problems.
