Job summary

AITX-1 is seeking an entry-level Quality Inspector I in Longview, TX. This role provides training to perform in-process and final inspections under supervision, while building knowledge of AAR, FRA, customer, and company requirements.

Train to verify work order requirements and required repair procedures, inspect repaired railcars for obvious defects, and complete documentation accurately. Opportunity for advancement to Level II with demonstrated competency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Ability to interpret drawings, procedures manuals.
• Proven mechanical aptitude and basic computer proficiency.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication; able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Train to perform in-process inspections.
• Train to perform final inspections.
• Verify work order requirements and repair procedures.
• Inspect repaired railcars for defects and non-conformances.
• Complete inspection documentation accurately and legibly.
• Verify forms are complete before railcar release.
• Assist with facility audits and quality meetings.
