Job summary

Marmon Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to perform thorough visual, dimensional, mechanical, and regulatory inspections of railcars and components throughout the repair and qualification process.

You will ensure nonconformances are reported, records are complete, and final car files are prepared for release. The role requires 3–5 years in railcar repair or manufacturing, knowledge of AAR/FRA regulations, and the ability to obtain NDT VT Level II certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3–5 years of railcar repair/manufacturing experience.
• Ability to obtain NDT VT Level II certification per industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, and regulatory inspections of railcars and components.
• Ensure nonconforming conditions are reported and documented.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and release final car files for interchange.
• Review shop-floor docs for completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Identify needed repairs and assign responsibility per policies and pricing matrices.
• Conduct audits to ensure production meets applicable standards.
