Job summary

Stadler US Signaling in Atlanta seeks a Junior Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of advanced rail signaling systems, including CBTC, CWS, and SCADA. You will support system engineering activities across the full project lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align components with the overall architecture.

You will focus on electrical, mechanical, or software components based on strengths, participate in design reviews and safety assessments,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial/systems engineering, electrical Engineering, computer Engineering or related field with a focus on rail signaling systems
  • Strong interest in rail signaling technologies (CBTC, CWS, SCADA, ATS, DCS)
  • Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
  • Proactive, independent, and solution-driven mindset
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and performance
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Support system engineering processes across the full project lifecycle (concept, design, implementation, validation)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system components align with overall architecture and customer requirements
  • Develop and execute integration and testing strategies to ensure system performance and safety compliance
  • Manage hardware and software interfaces, ensuring seamless integration with subsystems such as rolling stock, wayside equipment, and control centers
  • Participate in design reviews, safety assessments, and quality assurance activities
  • Identify system-level risks and develop mitigation and contingency strategies
