Job summary

Stadler Signaling seeks an entry-level Signaling Engineer I to contribute to the design, development, and deployment of advanced rail signaling systems in the Stadler US division. You will engage with CBTC, CWS, and SCADA technologies while supporting system engineering throughout the project lifecycle.

You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure architecture alignment, safety compliance, and high performance, taking ownership of subprojects and expanding expertise in signaling

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial/systems engineering, electrical engineering, or computer engineering with a rail signaling focus.
  • Strong interest in CBTC, CWS, SCADA, ATS, and DCS technologies.
  • Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
  • Proactive, independent, and solution-driven mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on safety and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Support system engineering across the full project lifecycle (concept, design, implementation, validation).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure components align with architecture and requirements.
  • Develop and execute integration and testing strategies for performance and safety.
  • Manage hardware and software interfaces with subsystems such as rolling stock and control centers.
  • Participate in design reviews, safety assessments, and quality assurance activities.
  • Identify system risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans.

HOW YOU CAN MAKE AN IMPACT

As a Signaling Engineer Iwithin Stadler US's Signaling Division, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of advanced rail signaling systems, including:

  • CBTC (Communications-Based Train Control)
  • CWS (Collision Warning System using radar, lidar, cameras, and AI)
  • SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)

In this role, you will support the delivery of signaling solutions that meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance, while aligning with customer requirements and industry regulations. Based on your strengths, you may focus on electrical, mechanical, or software components. You will also take ownership of subprojects and develop broad expertise in signaling technologies, systems, and customer applications.

Key Responsibilities

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial/systems engineering, electrical Engineering, computer Engineering or related field with a focus on rail signaling systems
  • Strong interest in rail signaling technologies (CBTC, CWS, SCADA, ATS, DCS)
  • Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
  • Proactive, independent, and solution-driven mindset
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and performance
