Job summary

Stadler Signaling in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to lead the integration of electrical subsystems within complex rail signaling environments. You will coordinate with installation planning, mechanical engineering, and software teams to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role demands a strong foundation in electrical engineering, hands-on CAD and schematic work, and the ability to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision on site in Atlanta.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • 5-8 years of relevant railway/defense/automotive/aerospace experience.
  • Ability to read and implement electrical schematics.
  • Experience with CAD design (Catia V5 or NX).
  • Experience with schematic software (E3 or Ruplan).
  • Experience with PLM/ERP/ECN systems (SmarTeam).
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
  • Fluent in English; German a plus.
  • Onsite work in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the mechanical design and integration of electrical enclosures, cabinets and cable ducts.
  • Integrate electrical equipment and systems into rail vehicles and verify proper function.
  • Create electrical function overviews in E-CAD for schematics.
  • Create concepts, specifications and related technical documentation.
  • Support Procurement, Production, Commissioning and Type Testing.
  • Interpret local, federal and customer requirements into system design.
  • Own design, documentation and function of subsystems.
  • Perform FAIs for various systems when necessary.
  • Integrate electrical systems into our vehicles/third party vehicles.
  • Redline electrical schematics.
  • Coordinate technically with installation planning, mechanical engineering and other drafting teams.
