Job summary

Leidos in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Junior Radar Modeling Engineer to join a team developing radar system models and software for RF/EW applications in defense projects.

You will create analytic and high-fidelity models, integrate them into real-time simulators, and work on GUI and verification tasks, with opportunities to contribute across Windows and Linux environments. Must have a SECRET clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
• Proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming; DS concepts.
• Experience with modeling/simulation systems and MATLAB or Python.
• Active SECRET clearance (US citizenship required).
• Resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytic to high-fidelity models of RF systems to support EW analysis.
• Integrate models into real-time and non-real-time simulation architectures.
• Assess operator-in-the-loop effects on radar/missile simulations.
• Develop threat models including waveform scheduling and signal processing.
• Develop GUI and simulation tools on Windows and Linux.
• Test, verify, and document development and analysis efforts.
