Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Junior Radar Modeling Engineer in Huntsville to support radar system model and software development for RF/EW projects. The role emphasizes developing high-fidelity models, integrating them into simulation architectures, and ensuring rigorous testing and documentation.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, 2 years modeling experience, and an active SECRET clearance. Relocation to North Alabama or Huntsville is expected for candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree ABET-accredited in EE/CE/SE/Physics with 2 years modeling experience.
• Proficient in C++ and OO programming; understanding of digital signal processing.
• Experience with modeling and simulation systems.
• Familiarity with MATLAB or Python (or other simulation tools).
• Active SECRET clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Residence in North Alabama or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Development of analytic to high-fidelity models of RF systems to support EW analysis.
• Development and integration into real-time and non-real-time simulation architectures.
• Assessing effects of operator-in-the-loop on radar and missile weapons system simulations.
• Development of threat models to match intelligence assessments, including waveform scheduling, correlation/tracking, signal processing, and closed-loop missile behavior.
• Simulation and GUI development in Windows and Linux.
• Testing, verification, and documentation of development and analysis efforts.
