Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Radar Modeling Engineer in Huntsville to develop high-fidelity RF models and integrate them into simulation environments. You will contribute to RF and EW projects, leveraging C++ and MATLAB/Python, with a SECRET clearance and readiness to relocate if needed.

The role involves GUI and tool development for Windows and Linux, plus rigorous testing, verification, and documentation of complex radar simulations for defense applications.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
• BS with 4–8 years or MS with 2–6 years of relevant experience.
• 1+ years of modeling and simulation experience.
• Proficient in C++ with knowledge of digital signal processing.
• Experience with modeling and simulation systems; MATLAB or Python is a plus.
• Active SECRET level clearance or higher; US citizenship required.
• Resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Develop analytic to high-fidelity RF models to support EW analysis.
• Integrate models into real-time and non-real-time simulation architectures.
• Assess operator-in-the-loop effects on radar/missile simulations.
• Develop threat models including waveform scheduling, tracking, and signal processing.
• Create simulation GUI and tooling for Windows and Linux.
• Test, verify, and document development and analysis efforts.
