Leidos Defense Systems in Huntsville, AL seeks a Sustainment Engineer for Radar System Model Development to work on RF/EW projects, open-air radar development, and SIL/HWIL simulations. You will sustain high-fidelity models, troubleshoot model behavior, and integrate into real-time architectures in a Windows environment.

The role requires a degree in EE/CS/CE/Math/Physics, strong C++ skills, and US citizenship with clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or Physics.
  • Background in C++ software development and real-time simulation is required.
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain a Final Secret or Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Sustainment and development of analytic to high-fidelity models of RF systems for EW analysis.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify errant threat model behavior based on customer feedback.
  • Develop and integrate into real-time/non-real-time simulation architectures.
  • Assess operator-in-the-loop effects on radar and missile simulations.
  • Develop threat models and waveform scheduling, signal processing and closed-loop behavior.
  • Develop simulation GUI and tooling for Windows environments.
  • Test, verify, and document development and analysis efforts.
